Mind BLMK has been awarded £10,000 by our South Midlands team after they hosted its annual charity triathlon to raise funds for the mental health and wellbeing charity.
The charity offers services to aid mental health and wellbeing for people in Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes, with an aim to make sure that no-one has to face a mental health problem alone.
This years triathlon with a twist saw members of our South Midlands team compete in clay pigeon shooting, a round of golf and quad-biking, followed by a dinner and auction.
Hayley Mattacks, Fundraising Manager at Mind BLMK, said “We would like to say a massive thank you to Taylor Wimpey South Midlands for their generous donation which will help tremendously to fund our services. One in four people will experience a mental health issue each year, with one in six people experiencing a common mental health problem (such as anxiety and depression) in any given week. Mental health is something we all have and here at Mind BLMK, we aim to ensure that everyone can get support when they need it.”
Gareth Jacob, Managing Director for Taylor Wimpey South Midlands, said: “We are proud to support Mind BLMK for this year’s annual charity. Here at Taylor Wimpey we not only pride ourselves on the superb homes we build, but also on the commitment we have to making a positive impact on those that live in communities near our developments.”
