Allerton Bywater Cricket Club in West Yorkshire has secured match ball sponsorship from our team at Taylor Wimpey Yorkshire with a £500 donation.
Our contribution, which marks the third time we have donated to the club, will be used to fund match balls for the coming season, enabling the club to budget for other commitments.
Richard Lamb, chairman of Allerton Bywater Cricket Club, comments: “Match balls are an unavoidable expense for the club each season, so it’s really important for us to reach out to local businesses in the area for support.
“We’re thrilled that Taylor Wimpey has offered a generous cash boost once again, meaning we can now look to focus on improving facilities at the club, including pitch maintenance.”
Allerton Bywater Cricket Club has 35 players across two teams, as well as a Twenty20 team which encourages participation from local residents of all abilities.
Anne Bagshaw, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey Yorkshire, says: “Here at Taylor Wimpey, we understand the importance that cricket clubs like Allerton Bywater play in the community, such as promoting fitness and teamwork.
“We’re delighted to offer a helping hand to the club for a third year and hope our partnership will continue in the future. Good luck to all the teams this season.”
Our upcoming Kensington Park development is situated near to Allerton Bywater Cricket Club’s grounds and is due to open this autumn.
