Our East Scotland team has set up an annual donation of £500 for the next three years to Bloom in Kingseat. This funding will provide a boost to the local fundraising that currently takes place, and it will allow the group to increase its spend on a range of high-quality plants for 2018 ensuring the village will benefit from an even more colourful and impressive display next year.
This commitment follows the first release of new homes for sale at our much-anticipated development of 45 new homes in the pretty Fife village of Kingseat and marks our willingness to be part of the local communities in which it builds.
Now in its 11th year, the Bloom in Kingseat group consists of a vital core of 10 to 12 volunteers, all of whom are retired and offer their time and expertise to enhance the overall look of the village. The group creates and maintains flower beds, display tubs and hanging baskets, and encourages the spread of wild flowers and spring bulbs.
Karen Armstrong, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey East Scotland said: “We’re delighted to be supporting such a worthwhile local organisation in Kingseat, and we’re looking forward to seeing even more fabulous floral displays in the village next year.
“The Bloom in Kingseat group has enjoyed great success in the Beautiful Fife awards which has seen the team scoop a gold award for the last four years, as well as several ‘Best Small Village’ awards. We’re very happy to have this opportunity to provide a boost to their funds to allow them to extend the displays they do.”
Stewart Gunn, Chair of Kingseat in Bloom said: "We look forward to a lengthy relationship between a leading housebuilder in the village and one of Beautiful Fife's Best Villages."
