Attleborough Town Football Club in Norfolk scored a sponsorship deal with our East Anglia team that helped kick off this year’s end-of-season celebrations!

The business unit, which is currently building high-quality homes at Grosvenor Park on the outskirts of town, donated £100 to the club to help fund trophies for their season-ending event, which took place on Saturday 21st May.

Roger Thompson, chair of Attleborough Town Football Club, says: “We’ve been celebrating the end of a really successful season by awarding various trophies such as ‘player of the season’, so we’re extremely grateful for all of the support we’ve received.

“A donation like this makes a massive difference to our members as we’re able to award trophies despite sometimes being on a shoestring budget. We’ve received a lot of helpful donations from the local community which have enabled us to host the event.”

The club, now 125 years old, currently has around 160 players comprising five senior and five junior teams.

“It’s a very expensive outlay to fund trophies for our players,” continues Roger. “It definitely ran into a four-figure bill.

“Taylor Wimpey also supported the club in recent times when they helped to redevelop our changing rooms and improve access to our facilities, so we could accommodate wheelchairs.

“It gives us all a boost to receive this donation, especially as the town doesn’t have many outdoor sports clubs or opportunities. This support is greatly received and we’d like to say a huge thank you.”

Caroline Carter, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey East Anglia, says: “We were delighted to help Attleborough Town Football Club celebrate the end of their successful season with this donation.

“We feel it’s extremely important to offer our support and help them continue to be at the centre of the Attleborough town community.”

There’s a stunning selection of two, three, four and five-bedroom homes at Grosvenor Park.
