We were delighted to lend our support to Barnsley Fire Station with funds towards a Christmas tree and trimmings for its Christmas fair.

The event – which was held at the Broadway station – included games and stalls, health and safety demonstrations, special guests from Barnsley FC and of course a visit from Father Christmas himself.

Damian Henderson, station manager, says: “I would like to thank Taylor Wimpey for the extremely generous donation to provide a Christmas tree and lights at this year’s fair.

“There is an increased demand for the fire service across the homes and roads of South Yorkshire at Christmas, so it’s fantastic to have local businesses on board to support this event and ensure we continue to make the area a safer place to live and work.

“We are extremely grateful for Taylor Wimpey’s support, which was invaluable in making the fair a successful and enjoyable event for the residents of Barnsley and surrounding areas.”

Barnsley Fire Station – which is just opposite our Kingstone Grange development – covers the town centre and surrounding residential areas while also offering a community room that residents can use for a wide range of events.

Anne Bagshaw, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey Yorkshire, says: “Christmas is a key time of year for communities to learn about fire safety with the appearance of festive lights, as well as support their local emergency services; and the Christmas fair provided some invaluable advice as well as lots of fun activities.

“As a responsible housebuilder, health and safety is at the forefront of our business, so we were delighted to get involved with the fire station’s community event.”

Kingstone Grange currently offers a choice of three and four-bedroom homes.
