Youngsters at Black Country Rugby Club in Dudley will be kicking off their new season in style, thanks to a sponsorship deal with us.
Our Midlands team, which is currently building high-quality homes at Woodall Grange in the town, has donated £500 to the club to fund new kits and polo shirts for the U14s team.
The U14s will compete against other district teams when this year’s league starts in October, with all 30 members of the squad sporting new black kits adorned with their initials and the Taylor Wimpey logo.
Ollie Taylor, lead coach for the U14s team, says: “Taylor Wimpey’s donation means this is the first year that we’ve been able to provide training kits for the team, which is great as it gives the players some ownership and sense of pride in being part of the squad.”
We offered to sponsor the team after Ollie appealed to us for support.
He says: “I know that Taylor Wimpey provides sponsorship to one of the local club sides, so I decided to get in touch to see if they would also be interested in funding the Black Country team and they kindly said yes!”
The club currently has four different teams ranging from U13s to U16s, with the U14s moving up to compete as the U15s squad this year.
Ollie adds: “We’d all like to say thank you very much to Taylor Wimpey. Their support means a lot to everyone at the club and this donation will make the team members and everyone involved feel a sense of worth.”
Anne Wallace, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey Midlands, says: “We are really pleased to be able to make this donation to Black Country Rugby Club to support the U14s team and help the players feel proud.
“We hope the team really enjoy their new kit and wish them the best of luck in their upcoming season.”
There’s a stunning selection of two-bedroom apartments and three-bedroom houses currently available at Woodall Grange.
