Brackley Town Football Club in Brackley has got the ball rolling for their new season thanks to a generous sponsorship deal with our East Midlands team.

We’ve donated £1,150 to the club by purchasing two pitch-side advertising boards, which will contribute to maintenance costs of the pitch and other facilities, as well as help to continue funding the many community activities that take place at the club, which is based at St James Park.

Janene Butters, Managing Director of Brackley Town Football Club, says: “Our club is run entirely by volunteers, and at the end of every season we need to renovate the pitch and carry out ground improvements. We also have an all-weather pitch which is costly and a fantastic stadium which we want to preserve.

“We’re also hoping to introduce disabled facilities, a club house and community programmes for older residents in the area, so this sponsorship from Taylor Wimpey will help to cover the costs of providing this service.”

We offered to sponsor the team after Janene appealed to our East Midlands business unit for support.

Janene says: “We rely on sponsorships and it’s often difficult to fund everything, so I decided to approach Taylor Wimpey as they are becoming established in the local area with their new Earls Manor development.

“I sent them a letter and they got straight back to us, which is great as their donation will go a long way to improving all of our facilities.

“Our club is used by many people in the local community, so it’s really good to be working with Taylor Wimpey as we’re hoping that the residents purchasing new homes at their development will use our facilities.”

The club’s two teams began their new season in August, with the professional first team taking part in the Vanarama National League North and the Saints U21s team playing in the Hellenic Football League.

Janene adds: “Both teams will be playing matches at home on alternate weeks throughout the season, as well as pre-season friendly games that commenced in July, so we have a great opportunity to promote our sponsor.

“We would like to say thank you so much to Taylor Wimpey for their support, and we hope this will be a long-term partnership as we would really like to continue working with Taylor Wimpey in the future.”

Earls Manor currently features a choice of three and four-bedroom homes.
