The brand new £1 million Community Centre and Sports Pavilion at our development The Parks in Bracknell Forest, Berkshire, has now officially been launched!
The grand opening of this exciting new facility, which we helped to fund, was organised by Bracknell Forest Council and The Parks Community Association and took place on Saturday 20th June.
The new centre boasts a main hall, a large meeting room and changing rooms. An all-weather multi-use games area, tennis courts and sports pitches will be provided shortly.
Mayor of Bracknell Forest, Cllr Mrs Dee Hamilton, cut the ribbon and officially opened the new centre, while other Bracknell Forest Councillors and members of the community also attended the event hosted by The Parks Community Association, who manage the centre.
Alan Pitt, Senior Design and Planning Executive for Taylor Wimpey West London, says: “The land was formerly used as an RAF staff training college and it had a number of sports facilities on site, so part of the design brief was to replace the existing facilities and make them available for the residents of the new development and the wider community.
“The centre will make a fantastic difference to the community, and to have these facilities right on their doorstep is wonderful for the residents of The Parks.”
