Schoolchildren have been given the honour of naming our new housing development in Buntingford, East Hertfordshire.
We asked the pupils at Edwinstree Middle School in the town to suggest names for the development of around 160 new homes off Hare Street Road and the winning suggestion was Knights Walk.
The winning pupil won a family day out at Woburn Safari Park, where we have helped to fund the new tiger enclosure for Woburn’s two Amur tigers Elton and Minerva.
Christine Scarborough, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey North Thames, says: “The children at Edwinstree Middle School came up with some great ideas for what we should call our new development in the town and we were delighted with the suggestion Knights Walk.
“We’d like to say a huge thank you to the children and the staff at the school for their hard work and creativity!”
We received planning permission for the new homes at Knights Walk in January 2014 and work is due to start on site in the autumn. The first homes are expected to be complete in 2015.
