Featherstone Rovers RLFC has received a £12,000 cash injection from our team at Taylor Wimpey Yorkshire, enabling the club to improve road access to the stadium.
The donation has funded two areas surrounding the club, enhancing the vehicular and pedestrian entrance for two new spectator stands that have recently been built at the pitch.
Paul Taylor, commercial manager at Featherstone Rovers RLFC, says: “We desperately needed to re-tarmac the roads before our game against Bradford Bulls last month, but we didn’t think we’d be able to raise the £12,000 we needed.
“Thanks to Taylor Wimpey’s generous donation, the roads were renovated in time and the match attracted our biggest attendance to date!”
This is the second project that we have partnered with the club on in recent months, with players and staff from Featherstone Rovers RLFC unveiling two showhomes at our brand new Colliers Court development on Pontefract Road.
Paul adds: “We’re extremely grateful for Taylor Wimpey’s support and look forward to working on future projects together.”
Anne Bagshaw, Sales and Marketing Director at Taylor Wimpey Yorkshire, comments: “We’re really proud to be partnered with Featherstone Rovers, which is located just across the road from our new Colliers Court development.
“As soon as we heard the club was seeking funds to improve access to the stadium, we just had to help out and donate the money they needed.”
Colliers Court has a choice of three-bedroom properties currently available.
