The U16s team at Chapeltown Juniors FC in Ecclesfield, South Yorkshire, has kicked off the new season in style after we renewed our sponsorship deal with them.
The funds have provided thick winter coats for training during the winter months and club-branded polo shirts for presentation nights and trips.
Steve England, club secretary, says of the sponsorship: “The funds we receive from Taylor Wimpey means that our players have the right teamwear on and off the pitch.
“Here at Chapeltown we provide excellent resources for a great number of local children and we do rely on funding to supplement the monies spent on league fees, insurance and other team costs, so we are extremely grateful for the ongoing support .”
The club, which plays in Ecclesfield, competes in The Sheffield and District Junior Sunday League – the biggest junior football league in Europe – and involves over 100 children.
Anne Bagshaw, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey Yorkshire says: “We are thrilled to be partnering with Chapeltown Juniors FC for another season.
“The club provides an invaluable service to the community, and our local development The Banks is very popular with families, so we know the club will involve its residents. We were therefore extremely keen to help out and supply them with kits again.”
Steve concludes: “The players absolutely love their new coats and teamwear, and it has given them a real boost going into the new season, so we’re very grateful.”
There’s a superb selection of new three and four-bedroom houses currently available at The Banks.
