We were excited to meet two members of the legendary Osmond family recently, when we sponsored their Hearing Fund UK charity.
Justin Osmond, founder of the charity and son of The Osmond’s lead singer, Merrill, welcomed our £1500 charity donation..
The money is being used to sponsor the champagne reception at Hearing Fund UK’s annual gala event this weekend in Leeds.
The Leeds-based charity was established four years ago, and is a sister organisation to the Olive Osmond Hearing Fund, which is currently in its 54th year.
Founder Justin, who himself has 90 per cent hearing loss, says: “We’re really thankful for the generosity we’ve received from Taylor Wimpey; and hope to further promote the charity here in the UK with their support.
“Our tag line is ‘Bringing music to your ears’; and thanks to donations like this, that’s exactly what we’ve been able to do for so many deaf children across globe, who have benefitted from our resources, hearing aids and musical donations.”
Justin’s proud father Merrill explains how The Osmond’s music group would actually not have existed, had it not been for his mother’s vision and son’s inspiring determination.
He says: “Not many people realise that two of my brothers also suffered from deafness, and The Osmond’s were initially set up because we needed to raise money for hearing aids!
“Our gala events are incredibly rewarding and motivational as it’s a chance to see the benefits of the charities remarkable work; and so donations like this make a big difference.”
