NEWS - Chelmsford City Youth FC Blues awarded with a donation from Taylor Wimpey

As part of its ongoing commitment to working in partnership with local communities, our East London team has donated £1,200 to Chelmsford City Youth Football Club Blues who play in Runwell. The donation provided by the region has covered the cost of a new kit and winter jackets for the 17 members of the U13’s team.

Chelmsford City Youth FC was established in 1973 and is an integral part of the local community. The club has over 25 teams for young adults and children in the area, ranging from under 6’s to under 18’s.

Gary Kay, the U13’s team manager at Chelmsford City Youth FC Blues said: “We can’t thank Taylor Wimpey enough for their generous donation. We are all over the moon and the looks on the boys faces when I told them the news was priceless. It gives the team a real boost to be wearing such smart kit. They feel very professional and proud wearing it, which in turn makes them play better.”

Chelmsford City Youth  FC Chairman, Mark Davidson also added: “We are extremely grateful to Taylor Wimpey for their support of our U13’s Blues team. Sponsorship really helps us in our mission to provide the best environment for the children to learn and play football.”

Michael O’Leary, Sales and Marketing Director at Taylor Wimpey East London said: “We are committed to giving back to the local communities in which we build new homes. It was a pleasure to make this donation to the Chelmsford City Youth FC  Blues U13’s and we hope the team enjoy playing in their new kit.
