Children enjoy strategy and social games

Children at Poplar Street Primary School in Audenshaw are enjoying a selection of brand new outdoor toys thanks to a £500 donation from our Manchester business unit.
Among the new equipment is a set of hockey sticks and nets to promote team bonding and exercise.

Iain Linsdell, head teacher at Poplar Street Primary School, says: “The children are delighted with the new toys and we’d like to extend our thanks to Taylor Wimpey for thinking of us.

“We decided to buy toys and games that promote team building and strategy while having fun and enjoying the fresh air. The giant snakes and ladders, drafts, jenga and noughts and crosses are all proving particularly popular, with the children having to use their mental and social skills to succeed.

“The equipment bought with this donation has, and will continue to, build self-esteem and improve our children’s performance, behaviour, concentration and readiness to learn – an all-round winner! Thanks once again from all at Poplar Street Primary School.”

Chloe Dunn, Sales and Marketing Director at Taylor Wimpey Manchester, says: “With our Arnfield Woods launch fast approaching, we’re excited to integrate ourselves within the Audenshaw community and support the development of future generations, like the pupils at Poplar Street Primary School.

“We understand the importance of toys and games that promote team building and other social skills that help the children in later life and delighted that our contribution has been so well received. The equipment all looks fantastic and we’re sure the children will all have hours of fun together!”

Arnfield Woods will offer a collection of two, three and four-bedroom homes.
