Young rugby players at Cleve RFC in Bristol have received a fantastic cash boost thanks to a kit sponsorship deal with us.
The U10s team at Cleve RFC, based in Mangotsfield, scored a £500 donation from our Bristol business unit – which is currently building high-quality new homes at Lyde Green in Emersons Green.
Thanks to the sponsorship, all 22 players in the U10s mixed team will receive brand new hoodies and shorts, adorned with the club’s crest and the Taylor Wimpey logo.
Rob George, one of six coaches for the U10s at Cleve RFC, says: “This is the first time the team have received sponsorship for new kit and all of the players are really excited!
“We approached Taylor Wimpey and we were delighted when they said they would sponsor us with a £500 kit donation – by supporting our team they are supporting local families.
“Having new kit means the team not only play the part, but they look the part too. Last year’s kit is a little threadbare so this donation has made such a difference.”
The U10s at Cleve RFC play against a network of local clubs, taking part in friendly fixtures and festivals throughout the year.
“I’d just like to say a massive thank you on behalf of the children and the club,” adds Rob. “We are really pleased and really appreciate Taylor Wimpey’s support.”
Charlie Joseph, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey Bristol, says: “As a local housebuilder, we recognise that grassroots sport is a major part of any community so we were delighted to support the U10s team at Cleve RFC.
“We hope the players are pleased with their new hoodies and shorts and would like to wish them the very best of luck for the rest of their fixtures over the coming season.”
There’s a superb selection of two bedroom apartments and three and four bedroom houses currently available at Lyde Green.
