Players and officials at Colden Common Football Club in Winchester are celebrating after securing a fantastic sponsorship deal with us for the second year in a row.
Our Southern Counties business unit, which is currently building a range of high-quality homes across Hampshire, provided a generous cash boost of £500 to the team to purchase new home kits.
The new strips feature red-and-white-striped shirts that will be adorned with the Taylor Wimpey logo.
Ian Steele, club secretary at Colden Common FC, says: “We’re thrilled with the donation. The squad love their new kit especially when it is adorned with such a prominent name as Taylor Wimpey who have their offices in the village.
“We’ll also be using some of the money to buy new tracksuits for training. We play under lights outside in the winter and our players appreciate the extra protection!”
The club is made up of three squads, a first team, a reserve side and a Veterans team for players aged 35 and over. They play in the Hampshire Premier Football League, the Wyvern League, and the Southampton Veterans League respectively.
Ian adds: “We’re hugely grateful for Taylor Wimpey to be sponsoring us for a second year. It has given the whole club a lift and we’re all thrilled that they have chosen to support us once again.
“On behalf of everyone at the club I’d like to say a huge thank you to Taylor Wimpey. Fundraising for local sports teams can be difficult and we can’t express our thanks enough.”
Roz Wells, Associate Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey Southern Counties, says: “We’re delighted to be sponsoring Colden Common Football Club and we wish them the best of luck for their future matches.
“We’re always keen to support local clubs and organisations that play an important role within the community, and football team sponsorship is a great example of how we can help.”
