Students from a school in Walsall have seen at first hand how modern homes are made, thanks to a special demonstration from leading housebuilder Taylor Wimpey.
The developer invited a group of Brownhills School pupils to Jubilee Gardens in Bloxwich Road to take a tour of a ‘first fix’ demonstration home – a new home which has been largely constructed but not yet completed internally, enabling its framework and structure to be clearly viewed from the inside.
Eight students, along with construction teacher Paul Jones, were shown around the property by Taylor Wimpey Site Manager Andy Johnson, who also provided an overview of the techniques used in its construction and offered an insight into the construction industry.
Anne Wallace, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey Midlands, says: “The students from Brownhills School were able to get a first hand view of how a modern house is made and we hope that will help them in their studies.
“Today’s new-build properties offer many environmental benefits compared with older homes and we hope the visit has given them a thorough understanding of the design process and the work that goes into making our homes so energy efficient.”
Jubilee Gardens enjoys a convenient location in an established residential area, which benefits from easy access to a host of nearby facilities including schools for children of all ages, shops, pubs and restaurants as well as green open spaces.
Two-bedroom starter homes are priced from just £114,995 at the development, while three-bedroom properties are priced from £131,995.
The Government’s new Help to Buy scheme is also available, which means eligible first-time buyers and those with a property to sell can purchase their ideal home for just 80% of its full market price.
To find out more about the new homes now on sale at Jubilee Gardens, property-seekers can visit the Sales Centre, located at Norfolk Place, off Bloxwich Road, Walsall, and open Thursday to Monday from 10am to 5pm. Alternatively, the Sales Executive can be contacted on 0845 672 8424.
