TWEL - Oldchurch Community Fun Day - web ready

Our team in East London helped to add some bounce to a family fun day in Jubilee Park, Romford – with a £500 donation towards the event, which was organised by local residents in partnership with Swan Housing Association.

This is the second time we have backed the Oldchurch Family Fun Day, which was held in the town’s Jubilee Park.

The fun day took place on Saturday 19th September and was attended by approximately 150 residents. Our donation helped to pay for the bouncy castles and children’s activities, while the other activities were funded by a Community Grant from Swan Housing Association.

Michael O’Leary, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey East London, says: “We were delighted to sponsor the Oldchurch Family Fun Day last year – it was a huge success with plenty to do for everyone who came. This year it was even better!

“As a local housebuilder, we are committed to helping the communities in which we build, and this is an excellent example of the way we can support groups and events which play an integral role in the local area.”

Sandra Fawcett, Executive Director of Swan Housing Association, says: “At Swan we believe in creating exemplary communities that people want to live in. We are delighted that Taylor Wimpey has supported this community initiative for the second year running.”

Local resident Jennifer Murphy adds: “It’s great to see Swan and Taylor Wimpey working together for the local residents, it really adds to the community spirit around here.”
