We showed we’ve got all the right moves by donating £500 to help young dancers take to the stage at the Royal Concert Hall in Nottingham.
Performers as young as three from Dance Divaz took part in a big dance spectacular at the prestigious venue earlier this year.
This is the third time that we have sponsored the group, and this year the money went towards hiring first aiders, as well as T-shirts for helpers backstage.
Dance Divaz runs classes in Ilkeston, where we are currently building new homes at Briars Chase, and in Arnold.
Dance Divaz principal Lorraine Powell said: “We are very grateful for Taylor Wimpey’s generous support for our annual song and dance show.
“We have over 300 performers aged from three to adult and are in the venue for 12 hours so we do need first aiders on hand throughout the event. The T-shirts were for all the helpers backstage so they were easily identifiable to everyone taking part.
“The show was a huge success. It’s always a great opportunity for dancers with a range of abilities to get on stage at such a fantastic venue and enjoy performing. It’s all about having fun.”
Mariana Knight, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “We are delighted to continue our association with Dance Divaz, and were only too pleased to support their annual dance extravaganza again this year.
“We are committed to supporting the communities in which we build our new homes and this is a great example of the way we can help local groups and organisations.”
