Leading Doncaster football club Rossington Main FC has scored a new sponsor with our Yorkshire team.

The club, which plays near our popular Holly Hill development, has received a donation of £850 to cover the cost of new training tops for its academy team.

Carl Stokes, chairman of Rossington Main FC, comments: “We are absolutely delighted to have Taylor Wimpey on board for the forthcoming season.

“When the players look like professional footballers they play like them, so the new tops will be very well received.”

Rossington Main FC was originally formed in 1919 under the name Rossington Colliery, making their FA debut in 1921. It now plays in division one of the Northern Counties East League with two senior teams and junior teams ranging from U7s to U19s.

Anne Bagshaw, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey Yorkshire, adds: “Rossington Main FC has played an integral role in the local Doncaster community for many years, so we are very happy to be able to offer it our support.

“Clubs like Rossington Main FC are great at bringing local communities together, while offering locals the opportunity to get fit in the process. We look forward to seeing some of our Holly Hill residents making the most of their local club and joining in the fun.”

Carl concludes: “We would like to extend our thanks to Taylor Wimpey for its generosity and look forward to collaborating again soon.”

There’s a wonderful selection of three and four‑bedroom homes available at Holly Hill.
