TWST Westvale Park donation

A national education charity based in Horley, Surrey has received £250 from as part of our recent donation box scheme. Engage in their future was one of three causes nominated for the scheme at the Westvale Park development in Horley, in which visitors were able to vote for which charity or organisation they would like to see receive a donation.

The charity’s aim is for every child who faces social, emotional and mental health challenges (SEMH) to benefit from high-quality education that meets their individual needs. This is done by providing support and sharing good practice amongst peers in order to improve the education and welfare of pupils.

Sue Ackroyd and Richard Berry, Co-Chairs of engage in their future, said: “The charity is essential to young people who suffer from SEMH and without organisations such as ourselves, their voices may not be heard. With the kind donation from Taylor Wimpey we will ensure that the money is put to good use to support the children and leaders of member schools.”

Mary O’Brien, Sales and Marketing Director at Taylor Wimpey South Thames, said: “At Taylor Wimpey we are proud to support some very worthy causes and engage in their future is no different. The work they do is very important to children and the schools in which they learn. Our hope is that our donation is of benefit to the students of those schools.”
