We are delighted to be supporting Gleadless Valley Community Forum with a much-needed donation to fund children’s rides at its Herdings Park Festival in Sheffield, South Yorkshire.
The festival will be held on Saturday 28th June and aims to deliver a fun and family friendly event for the Sheffield community, as well as building relationships between local residents and encouraging those that struggle financially.
Sue Dixon, community and business activity coordinator at Gleadless Valley Community Forum, says: “While the highly anticipated summer festival offers a wonderful day out for local families, this year we’ve really struggled to secure donations to enable us to offer free admission to our visitors.
“Thanks to Taylor Wimpey’s generous support, we will be able to entertain the younger residents of Sheffield with a range of kid’s rides which we hope will be enjoyed by many young families in the community.”
Anne Bagshaw, sales and marketing director at Taylor Wimpey Yorkshire, says: “In addition to building stunning high-quality homes across Yorkshire, we firmly believe that it’s equally important to help the communities in which we build wherever possible.
“Gleadless Valley Community Forum is a brilliant charity which serves the entire Sheffield community with a variety of upbeat events and festivals, so we’re absolutely thrilled to be getting involved with one of the biggest events for Sheffield residents this year.
“With our development The Carriages just down the road from Gleadless Valley Community Forum, we’re extremely pleased to be getting involved and we hope the Sheffield community have a fabulous time at the festival.”
