We were thrilled to provide a cash injection to an annual firework display for the people of Elstree and Borehamwood in Hertfordshire.

We donated £500 towards the firework display at Meadow Park in Borehamwood – near to our Gemini Park development.

The event had a ‘100 years of television and film production’ theme in recognition of the area’s historical association with both industries and celebrating the centenary of filmmaking in the local studios.

Tracey Malton, Deputy Clerk at Elstree and Borehamwood Town Council, says: “The £500 donation from Taylor Wimpey was a fantastic boost that allowed us to put on a wonderful show for the people of Elstree and Borehamwood.

“We really want to thank Taylor Wimpey, as their generosity helped to run a fun-filled evening and bring so many people together.”

The fireworks display is a free event, which attracts several thousand spectators every year.

Christine Scarborough, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey North Thames, says: “As a local housebuilder, we are committed to supporting the communities in which we build, so we were more than happy to support Elstree and Borehamwood’s firework display.

“We have previously made donations to Elstree and Borehamwood’s Christmas lights and Civic Festival, and we plan to continue to support local events which bring joy to the whole community.”
