Our South Wales business unit was one of the official sponsors of an award ceremony honouring the work of the region’s police force.
The South Wales Police Annual Awards, held at Brangwyn Hall in Swansea, recognised and celebrated the hard work of police officers, staff and volunteers who go above and beyond the call of duty in their working lives.
Around 300 police staff, officers and their guests attended the event in October 2015, which was compered by ITV presenter Jonathan Hill and hosted by South Wales Chief Constable Peter Vaughan, Police and Crime Commissioner Alun Michael and other senior officers.
Our South Wales team, which is building a range of high-quality homes at our Waterton Place development in Bridgend, donated £1,000 to sponsor the ‘Extra Mile’ awards category for voluntary police officers.
Sara Taylor, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey South Wales, says: “As a company we are committed to supporting the communities in which we build our homes, and we were delighted to be one of the official sponsors of the South Wales Police Annual Awards 2015.
“These awards are important because they not only reward individual excellence, but also help create that sense of teamwork which is vital for any successful organisation.”
John Williams, Marketing and Communications Officer for South Wales Police, says: “The money to hold these Awards does not come from the Police budget, so we wouldn’t have been able to hold them without generous sponsorship.
“We’d like to thank Taylor Wimpey for helping us find a way to give something back to officers and staff who go above and beyond the call of duty.”
There’s a superb selection of two and three-bedroom properties currently available at Waterton Place.
