Goldthorpe Reform JFC Under 10s have received a welcome donation from a local housebuilder.
The £500 donation from Taylor Wimpey Yorkshire was used for much-needed new kits and hoodies for the team.
The club is based in Thurnscoe and recently celebrated its second birthday.
Kenny Cutts, manager of the Under 10s, said: “This is the first season we’ve had an Under 10s team and so we needed kits asap. Taylor Wimpey was able to step in and offer us the sponsorship to do this, so we really appreciate everything they’ve done. The kits look really smart.”
Anne Bagshaw, Taylor Wimpey Yorkshire Sales and Marketing Director, commented: “We’re very happy to sponsor Goldthorpe JFC and we think the new kits look great! We’re always looking to get involved with the local community and this was the perfect opportunity to support a local team – so we jumped at the chance! We hope they have a successful season.”
Taylor Wimpey builds in the area at three developments – Kingfishers Walk in Wath Upon Dearne, Emerald Green in Penistone and The Wickets in Upper Haugh.
