Greenhill Gardens News Story

Haywards Heath based voluntary organisation, Good Neighbours CARE, has received £250 from our development donation box scheme. The organisation was nominated as one of three charities which visitors to our Greenhill Gardens development could vote for to win the donation and came out on top.

Founded in 1983, the charity focuses on providing a helping hand to those who need it in the community. Volunteers provide transport to medical appointments, help with shopping and visiting those who just want to chat.

The charity is currently run by 150 volunteers and has 300 clients, of which most are elderly, however they do have ages ranging from 20 to 108 which require their help. As the amount of clients is constantly growing, Good Neighbours CARE want to continue to help as much as possible and so our donation is being used towards promotional materials to try and attract more volunteers.

Christina Chelmick, Chairwoman of Good Neighbours CARE, said: “We are so thankful to Taylor Wimpey and the visitors of Greenhill Gardens for this donation. Our clients are always very appreciative of our services and we want to be able to carry this on successfully. As our client list grows, we need more volunteers and I hope the promotional materials will help with this.”
