Notts Gymnastics Academy is sending a squad of gymnasts to Malta, after we lent a helping hand by providing vital cash backing for the trip.
We’ve donated £620 to the Academy’s gymnasts towards the cost of the trip, which will take place in July.
Notts Gymnastics Academy, based in a purpose-built centre close to Rushcliffe Leisure Centre, West Bridgford, is a 1,000-member gymnastics club open seven days a week.
Its 35 staff cater for all ages of gymnasts, from toddler to adults, and all levels of ability from beginners to Olympic gymnasts.
Academy coach Alan Price says: “The Taylor Wimpey donation is being used for a trip to a competition in Malta for 11 gymnasts.
“We tend to do the Malta trip every year because it’s not too far and the competition suits the gymnasts we’re taking. But that sort of trip needs quite a bit of fundraising – which is why this donation from Taylor Wimpey is so helpful.”
Lucie Grundy, Sales Manager for Taylor Wimpey East Midlands, says: “As a housebuilder working in the Nottingham area, we are delighted to support the community in which we are building.
“It was one of our own employees who told us about Notts Gymnastics Academy, and we are pleased we can help such a wonderful sporting centre, that caters for all ages and all abilities, all the way up to Olympic standards.”
There’s a superb selection of two, three, and four-bedroom homes currently available at The Brambles in Nottingham.
