Millions of people across the world were delighted when they saw 41 Scottie dogs steal the show at Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games in their official role as Team Name Bearers as part of the Athletes’ Parade.

Dog owners (father and son) Barry and Aaron Chisholm, and eight year old Hamish, who live in a new home at our Gospatrick Grange development in Dunbar, led out Team Scotland, and were incredibly proud to be part of the whole event.

Barry says: “Hamish has coped very well with his fame and has now settled back into normal family life at our new house in Dunbar. He was brilliant throughout the whole event, and we were all looked after really well.

“Both Aaron and I were so honoured to be asked to lead out Scotland, and it was amazing to be part of such an iconic event in Scotland’s history. It’s something we’ll never forget.”

Karen Armstrong, sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey East Scotland, says: “We were really excited when we discovered that our development is home to such a famous little character, and obviously thrilled to see Hamish play his role so well.”
