Kilnwood Vale residents enjoy local community fun day

Residents of our South Thames’ Kilnwood Vale development enjoyed a day of activities on Saturday 20th July, at the annual fun day organised by a local community group. We donated £500 which funded the teddy bear tombola, raffle prizes and food for people to enjoy.

The fun day, which has become a regular event in the community calendar, split its total raised funds of £550 between a selection of charities. This year, the charities supported were Holbrook Animal Rescue, Rocking Horse Premature Baby Charity and Paws to Rescue.

The event attracted over 500 who took part in and enjoyed the arts and crafts stalls, a photography competition, face painting, a children’s entertainer and attempting the coconut shy. Guests also enjoyed a visit from the local police force and fire department, along with donuts, a sweet cart and cake stands.

Commenting on the support received from us, organiser Anna Grimshaw, said: “We are incredibly grateful that Taylor Wimpey offered their support of the annual fun day at Kilnwood Vale. Without the support from local businesses we wouldn’t be able to host these events and it means a great deal to us to be able to bring the community together. The day is always a lot of fun and it’s great that we raised lots of money for charity.”
