Our upcoming West End Lane development in Rossington, Doncaster, has been officially named Holly Hill, after we held a naming competition with schoolchildren at Grange Lane Infant Academy.
The competition enabled pupils to put forward name suggestions for the new development, with the winning entry coming from six-year-old Jessica Taylor, who won two hampers full of sweets, books and art equipment!
Louise Chappell, principal at Grange Lane Infant Academy, says: “We’re delighted that Taylor Wimpey involved our pupils with their upcoming Holly Hill development, which is being built just minutes away from the school.
“Jessica is thrilled to have won the competition and everyone at the school is extremely proud of her. We are delighted that Taylor Wimpey has given the opportunity for a young person in the community to leave a lasting legacy.”
Taylor Wimpey’s Holly Hill development is located at Rossington’s former colliery, and will offer a selection of three and four-bedroom homes, including terraced, semi-detached and detached styles.
Anne Bagshaw, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey Yorkshire, comments: “The new development will be a huge part of the Rossington community, so it was extremely important for us to involve local schoolchildren from the very start.
“It was a difficult choice with all of the fantastic entries we received, but we were particularly pleased with Jessica’s name and we can’t wait to launch the development this year!”
