Longridge C of E school scores sponsorship
Longridge Church of England Primary School in Lancashire has received a cash boost from us, to purchase brand new shirts for its netball and football teams.
The school, which is based just a short distance from our Tootle Green development in Longridge, received over £400 to kit out the sports teams for their forthcoming seasons.
Janet Cooper, headteacher at Longridge C of E Primary School, says: “The children were so excited to see their new kits, it really did put a spring in their step the first time they stepped out onto the netball and football pitches, which was a joy to see!
“The children are very passionate when it comes to both training and their matches and we couldn’t be prouder of our sporting talent here at the school. We’ve no doubt that the new shirts bring both our teams luck and success for their games in the future.”
Since our Tootle Green development opened in July last year, we have collaborated with Longridge C of E Primary School on a number of occasions, including donating a defibrillator to the school worth in excess of £900, and partnering up with the children to decorate the development’s Christmas tree with handcrafted baubles.
Chloe Dunn, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey Manchester, adds: “We’re thrilled to be able to offer our help by purchasing new kits for both the junior netball and football teams. We believe that sport is a fantastic way for children to not only keep fit, but increase their confidence, while having a lot of fun at the same time.
“We wish the teams all the very best for their forthcoming seasons and look forward to hearing how they get on this year.”
Janet concludes: “The new kits look fantastic and we are delighted the homebuilder has been able to donate towards the coming season – on behalf of the children and staff, we’d like to extend out thanks to Taylor Wimpey.”
There’s a wonderful range of two, three, four and five bedroom homes available at Tootle Green.
