We have announced our support for Dunbar Rugby Football Club’s annual Minis Tournament for a record sixth year in a row.

This year’s event will be staged at Hallhill Healthy Living Centre in Dunbar on Sunday 15th May 2016, and around 550 children from Dunbar, Berwick, Duns, Haddington, North Berwick, Preston Lodge, Portobello and Currie are expected to take part.

Sponsoring the Dunbar Minis Tournament is a great chance to once again get involved in the local community as Karen Armstrong, Sales and Marketing Director at Taylor Wimpey East Scotland, says: “We’re delighted to continue our support for this very successful local event that has seen its numbers of players grow year on year.

“It’s also become a popular fixture in the community calendar, with over 1,000 spectators visiting the club to enjoy this fun family event that encourages a healthy participation in sport.

“Our development of new homes at Gospatrick Grange in Dunbar offers 81 family homes and we are undoubtedly attracting new families to the area so our continued sponsorship and involvement with Dunbar Rugby Club allows us to show our commitment to the local community of Dunbar.”

Dunbar Rugby Club Mini Co-ordinator Finlay Graham adds:  “Following the successful track record of this popular event, we’re looking forward to creating an even bigger and better tournament this year, which in the past has attracted teams from across East Lothian and Edinburgh. We’re thrilled to have secured Taylor Wimpey as our main sponsor for the sixth year in a row.

“Our tournament is the only minis event that recognises every player from every team with a participation medal and our sponsorship from Taylor Wimpey helps us to maintain this key aspect of the event whilst helping us to reinforce that getting involved and playing a sport for fun and fitness is a positive life choice.

“The Club enjoys fantastic support from its sponsors, volunteers, coaches, referees, parents and most importantly every minis rugby player who ensures that the tournament remains a great success each year.

“We’re looking forward to one of the biggest fixtures in the club’s calendar, and we hope to see as many members of the local community at the event as possible to support their local team!”

Gospatrick Grange currently offers a selection of two, three, four and five-bedroom houses.
