Almost 6,000 photos of beloved pets have now been entered into our Pets Make A Home photography competition.
We've been inviting pet owners to submit pictures of their animals looking ‘at home’ in the hope of winning a £1,000 cash prize. The photo that earns the most votes each day wins one of a range of fabulous pet-related prizes, while the animal with the most votes overall at the end of the competition will win £1,000.
So far, we've received more than 90,000 votes from people lending their support to their favourite pet picture.
This week’s daily winners include eight-week-old cocker spaniel Poppy, Theo the dog and Airedale terrier Kerry.
Bombers the cat was another of our daily winners, who was brought over from Afghanistan after befriending former Marine Paul Smitham while he was on active duty in Kabul.
This photo of Bella and Lottie snoozing on the sofa scooped Friday’s daily prize, followed by father and pup Fernie and Turbo on Saturday. The final winner of the week was sleepy Amber, who was pictured relaxing on the settee.
The competition was launched on 31st March to coincide with National Pet Month and entries will be accepted until 5th May. Pet-owners can enter photos of their pet by clicking here and entering their details via the specially created app.
Twitter and Instagram users can also enter by tweeting or posting their image via their own account with the hashtag #TWPetsMakeAHome. Entrants will receive a response message thanking them for their entry as confirmation.
People can then visit our website and Facebook page to view the entries and vote for their favourite pet!
Entries submitted on any calendar date will count towards that date’s prize, regardless of what time the photograph was submitted. In order to give people the chance to place their vote for entries submitted later in the day, votes are collected until 7.30am the following day.
