A new log cabin, built in the grounds of Evesham Nursery School, has been partly furnished by our Midlands and West Midlands business units.
Our two teams have joined forces to give £500 to Evesham Nursery School, which has approximately 100 children aged two, three and four.
The money was spent on soft furnishings for the new log cabin, which is to be used as an outdoor classroom and training room at the Local Authority Maintained Nursery school.
“We are very grateful to Taylor Wimpey for their donation, we have used the money to buy huge, colourful, waterproof beanbag cushions to go inside our new log cabin,” explains head teacher Marian Gager.
“The children will have lots of fun using the giant beanbags. The log cabin is in our wildflower meadow, and measures approximately four metres by three metres – it has been built after years of fundraising. The giant cushions are a wonderful addition to our log cabin and will be used throughout the year.
“We’ve got a beautiful Nursery School in Four Pools Lane, and the children spend a lot of time in our outdoor learning environment. We’ve been developing the grounds since we moved into our purpose-built nursery in 2011 and it’s so exciting to finally have a bespoke log cabin.”
Anne Wallace, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey Midlands, says: “As a housebuilder working in Evesham, we are delighted to support a school based in the local community.”
Elaine Taylor, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey West Midlands, adds: “We hope that the young children of Evesham Nursery School have great fun in their new log cabin, and are pleased our donation has been put to good use.”
