Our Midlands team, which is building new homes at developments in Coventry, has donated £1,000 to a local nursery to help buy new toys.
The toys will be enjoyed by babies and toddlers in the Caterpillar Room at Hedgerow Nursery in Cromwell Lane, Westwood Heath.
The donation was arranged through our Sales Executive Linsey Whelan, who works at our Cherrywood Place development in Holbrooks, and whose son Oliver attends the Caterpillar Room.
Anne Wallace, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey Midlands, says: “As a local housebuilder we are committed to supporting the communities in which we build new homes, so when we heard that Hedgerow Nursery was looking to buy some new toys, we were only too happy to help.
“It’s a great example of the way we can help schools and other organisations which play such an important role within their local communities.”
Among the toys being purchased for the Caterpillar Room are blocks, mirror trays, a play mat, tunnels, puzzles, cutlery, cushions and baby books.
Georgina Evans, from Hedgerow Nursery, says: “We’re really grateful to Taylor Wimpey for this generous donation. It means we have been able to add to the choice of toys on offer in our Caterpillar Room, which is fantastic news for our babies and toddlers!”
