Our Exeter business unit recently teamed up with a group of youngsters from Newton Abbot Beaver Scouts group to bury a time capsule at the Hele Park development in Devon. The team invited the group of six to eight year olds to provide memorable and nostalgic items they thought would be interesting to look back on in the future. Items included a Beaver uniform, badges, achievement books and the mascot for the group.
Commenting on the group’s visit to the Hele Park development, Iris Burrows, Beaver Leader, said: “We’d like to thank Taylor Wimpey for inviting us to take part in this project. The Beavers were keen to come up with ideas for items to include in the capsule and the project really captured their imaginations.
Melissa Langton, Sales Manager for Taylor Wimpey Exeter, said: “We were thrilled to have the Beaver Scouts take part in this project at Hele Park. The capsule has been filled with items that the children wanted to remember, and it was lovely to see them think about how life could be different for people living at the development in the future. We’re always keen to build strong relationships with schools and organisations within the community, and the time capsule project is a great example of how we do this.”
