Northallerton Rugby Union Football Club can make vital improvements to its members’ training kits, thanks to a winning contribution from our Yorkshire team.
The club, which plays its home games at Brompton Lodge, close to the region’s Thurston Park development, has scored nearly £900 for professional training shirts for its First XV team.
Steve Metcalfe, vice chairman at Northallerton Rugby Union Football Club, said: “It’s imperative we’re able to provide our players with the very best facilities and equipment that enable them to perform at their peak.
“Taylor Wimpey’s generous contribution allows us to do exactly that and treat the squad like the talented group they are both on and off the pitch. On behalf of everybody at the club, I’d like to extend our sincere thanks.”
Established in 1882, Northallerton Rugby Union Football Club fields three senior XV sides, a ladies XV’s team and a full junior section, together with a summer cricket team. The team was famously part of the Twickenham final in 2015.
Anne Bagshaw, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey North Yorkshire, said: “Here at Taylor Wimpey, we understand we’re building more than just houses at our Thurstan Park development, we’re growing communities our residents are sure to become a part of. It’s for this reason, and so many more besides, we make such contributions to clubs, like Northallerton Rugby Union Football Club, who’ve brought so much joy and comradery to this town for over a century.
“We’re proud to support the First XV team and hope the kits bring everybody the added spark they’ve shown on the pitch so far this season.”
