Northdale Horticulture, a Northallerton-based charity, has received a cash boost of £1,485 from our North Yorkshire team to support its work throughout the region.

The charity, which is located just a short distance from our Woodside Chase development in Colburn, has used the donation to purchase a large outdoor xylophone to help people with multi-sensory disabilities.

Simon Cross, service manager at Northdale Horticulture, says: “We’re thrilled that Taylor Wimpey has chosen to support our charity, and we cannot thank them enough for such a generous donation.

“At Northdale Horticulture, we strive to create an environment in which vulnerable adults can be supported to achieve their full potential. The outdoor xylophone will not only help our members to learn, but also to have fun.”

Through work-based activities, such as gardening and woodwork, the charity helps adults with learning difficulties develop a wide range of social and vocational skills.

Debbie Whittingham, Sales and Marketing Director at Taylor Wimpey North Yorkshire, explains: “As soon as we heard about the work Northdale Horticulture is doing throughout the region, we jumped at the chance to help them. The team is incredibly hardworking and a valuable charity for the local community.

“We are absolutely delighted to be supporting such a unique and inspiring organisation, and it’s great to see our donation provide so many benefits and so much enjoyment.”

Simon concludes: “I would like to take this opportunity to thank Taylor Wimpey on behalf of the whole charity, it really is much appreciated.”

Woodside Chase currently features a superb selection of two and three bedroom properties.
