Bury Town Football Club’s under-14s team are looking the part on the pitch thanks to a £500 donation from our East Anglia team to help fund the club’s brand-new tracksuits.
Established in 1872, Bury Town FC is one of the oldest football clubs in England and has a proud history dating back over 130 years. The club aims to provide football for everyone in the local community and offers the chance for players currently in the U14, U15 and U16 age group to challenge themselves at a higher standard in the Eastern Junior Alliance League.
Commenting on the support it has received, Rob Davies, coach at Bury Town FC, said: “We are extremely grateful for the financial help from Taylor Wimpey and we can’t thank them enough for their generous donation. The tracksuits look absolutely brilliant on the pitch and help make the team look extremely professional, especially before a big match. On behalf of everyone at Bury Town FC, I would like to say a huge thank you to Taylor Wimpey.”
Caroline Carter, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey East Anglia, said: “We were delighted to be able to support Bury Town FC with a donation towards the under-14s’ new tracksuits. The work we do is a lot more than just building high-quality homes. Being able to back local organisations that surround our developments means a lot to us and it’s great to know that we are helping to make a difference to the lives of people in local communities.”
