Our East London region were delighted to donate £200 and sponsor the Great Dunmow Soapbox Race, which took place on Sunday 27th May on Braintree Road in Great Dunmow, near to our Maynard Park development.
The very popular event saw teams from local schools, colleges and businesses ride the challenging course in their homemade vehicles in aid of raising money for the Great Dunmow Round Table, which supports those that need it most in the local community.
Linda Dines, Sales Manager for Taylor Wimpey East London, said: “The Soapbox Race is such a fun event that brings the whole community of Great Dunmow together. We were thrilled to be able offer our support as the work Great Dunmow Round Table does is vital for the surrounding area. It’s great to know that the money raised from this event is going back into the local community.”
Jordan Bright, Great Dunmow Soapbox Race organiser, said: Thank you to Taylor Wimpey for their support by sponsoring our event - it simply couldn’t have gone ahead without the support from our sponsors. It was a huge success with over 5000 people attending and we were overwhelmed with the support from the local community. The feedback we have received from spectators, competitors and sponsors has been incredible and we can't wait to do this all again next year!
