Northamptonshire primary school pupils are looking forward to learning more about nature and playing in the fresh air thanks to a donation from our East Midlands region.
This month we gave £500 to help Pineham Barns Primary School install a new outdoor play trail. The school, which is based next door to Dragonfly Meadows development, will fund the rest of the equipment and hopes to start work on the new trail soon.
Principal Caroline Stewart said: “We are lucky to have so much nature on our doorstep in Pineham, and we try to incorporate the outdoors into everything we do. We’ve wanted to install the outdoor trail for some time now and Taylor Wimpey’s donation has helped us achieve our fundraising target.
“Our pupils are excited to try out the new trail once it is installed. We’d like to thank Taylor Wimpey for its support.”
Rob Curry, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey East Midlands, said: “Pineham Barns Primary School is one of our closest neighbours at Dragonfly Meadows, so we were keen to offer them our support. The school’s commitment to nature is clear and it’s great that they want to give pupils as many opportunities to explore the outdoors as possible. We were happy to help fund the play trail and look forward to seeing children enjoying it.”
