Every year the festive season brings the community together and as part of its ongoing commitment to working in partnership with the local communities in which it builds its new homes, our North Thames recently donated £200to St George’s Catholic Primary School’s Christmas Fair. The fair, which was held on Friday 1st December, was a great success and raised over £4,000, which will be invested into school resources.
The festive season brings people together, and for Taylor Wimpey, which is committed to working in partnership with the local communities in which it builds, Christmas is an important time of year. That’s why our North Thames team recently donated £200 towards the Christmas Fair at St George’s Catholic Primary School. The event, held on Friday 1st December, was a great success and raised over £4,000, which will be put back into school resources.
There was plenty on offer at the fair. With food lovers indulging on everything from waffles to hot dogs and parents stocking up on Christmas presents at the different stands, there was something for everyone. One of the most popular stalls was the raffle where families had the chance to win a £200 Ticketmaster voucher, funded through our donation.
Paul Franklin, Chairman of the Parent Staff Association (PSA), said: “Without the support of parents and local businesses these events would not be possible, so we’re always grateful for the donations we receive. Collectively, our efforts continue to enrich the school, not only in helping obtain much needed equipment for our children, but also by bringing a great community together. We can’t thank Taylor Wimpey enough for their generous contribution that enabled us to put such an exciting prize into the raffle.”
Jack Costello, Sales and Marketing Director at Taylor Wimpey North Thames, said: “We are delighted to have supported St George’s Catholic Primary School’s Christmas fair. The work we do is a lot more than just building high-quality homes. Being able to work with local schools, businesses and organisations that surround our developments means a great deal to us and we were pleased to hear that the Christmas fair was such a success.”
