As part of its ongoing commitment to support local communities, our Oxfordshire regional team has recently donated £600 to Harwell and Hendred Youth Football Club towards providing the under 10s team with a brand new kit.
Established in the summer of 2004, Harwell and Hendred Youth Football Club has grown rapidly from its humble beginnings. Today, the club has ten boys and girls teams and hosts a number of training sessions throughout the week at its home ground of Boundary Park in Didcot. The club also has its very own Soccer School. This coaching initiative offers both boys and girls aged from 3 to 10 years old a fun and safe environment to develop sporting skills, coordination and improve self-confidence all while keeping fit.
Commenting on the support from Taylor Wimpey Oxfordshire, Neil Andrews, under 10s manager for Harwell and Hendred Youth Football Club, said: “We at Harwell and Hendred Youth Football Club are extremely grateful for the generous donation from Taylor Wimpey. The new football kit looks absolutely fantastic and the team can’t wait for the chance to show it off on the pitch. Sponsorships like this really helps to keep the club alive and it’s superb knowing we have the support of such a prestigious housebuilder.
“On behalf of everyone at Harwell and Hendred Youth Football Club, I would like to say a huge thank you to Taylor Wimpey for their support."
Janet Burke, Sales Executive at Alder View, said: “For us, it’s vital that we support the local communities in which we build our new homes. We are absolutely delighted to be able to help Harwell and Hendred Football Club with a donation towards the U10s team’s new kit and it’s great to know we are making a positive impact.”
