Taylor Wimpey is inviting pet owners to get snapping ahead of a nationwide photography competition to find the cutest cats and most dashing dogs.
Britain is a nation of animal lovers and almost half of the UK’s households have a pet, ranging from common creatures like fish, birds and rabbits to the more unusual, including snakes and turtles.
We are preparing to launch our Pets Make A Home competition, giving pet owners the chance to enter a photograph of their animal looking its most ‘at home’.
We want to see the best pictures of cats curled up on cushions, dogs taking pride of place on beds and rabbits keeping warm by radiators.
The competition is being launched on 1st April to coincide with National Pet Month and entries will be accepted until 5th May. There’s a whole host of fantastic prizes up for grabs for the daily winners, from personalised cat or dog bowls to a pet sketch, while the overall winner of the Pets Make A Home competition will receive a £1,000 cash prize.
Karen Bremner, Head of Marketing for Taylor Wimpey, says: “There’s no doubt that pets make a house a home and it’s certainly true that most pet owners consider their animal a member of the family.
“We are inviting pet-owners to start snapping to capture their animal looking its most ‘at home’ and we can’t wait to see the entries that come in.”
Pet-owners will be able to enter photos of their pet by visiting www.taylorwimpey.co.uk or www.facebook.com/taylorwimpey, clicking on the Pets Make A Home sections and entering their details via the specially created app.
Twitter and Instagram users can also enter by tweeting or posting their image via their own account with the hashtag #TWPetsMakeAHome from 1st April.
People can then visit the Taylor Wimpey website and Facebook page once the competition has launched to view the entries and vote for their favourite pet!
