WM - Taylor Wimpey - Sacred Heart Catholic School - Poster Comp

We invited children at Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School in Coventry to create their own posters for a Walk to School poster competition.

The posters focus on encouraging drivers to slow down, and in recognition of their efforts, we donated 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes of gift vouchers for the competition winners.

Elaine Taylor, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey West Midlands, says: “We are committed to supporting the communities in which we build our high-quality new homes, which is why we invited pupils at Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School to take part in our poster competition.

“Walking to school can make a real difference to children’s health and wellbeing, but we understand why some parents have concerns about traffic and speeding.

“Our poster campaign was a great way to get the message across to drivers outside the school that they need to be considerate and slow down, and I’d like to congratulate all of the children who took part.”

The pupil whose design was judged the best secured £25 in gift vouchers, while second prize was a £15 gift voucher and third a £10 gift voucher.

Helen Quinn, Executive Headteacher at Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School, says: “We encourage the children to walk to school to promote a healthier lifestyle and to reduce traffic outside the school.  We were delighted to accept Taylor Wimpey’s challenge to design posters and were really pleased with pupils’ designs.”

There’s a selection of apartments and houses currently on sale at The Promenade.
