Terraced Rows Named By School Pupils Now Complete At The Sidings In Eastleigh
Two Hampshire primary school pupils can now see the names they chose for two rows of terraced houses on display at Taylor Wimpey’s The Sidings development in Eastleigh.
Plaques have now been installed on both rows of homes, named ‘Pendragon’ and ‘Waterloo Terrace’, which are now complete at the development, off Mill Street.
They were given their names after the leading local housebuilder challenged pupils from nearby Norwood Primary School in Chamberlayne Road to make some suggestions – their only directive being to stick with a railway theme that had been used for the previous new houses on the development.
Two pupils – Milly Westall and Sid Arnold – were picked as winners and were rewarded with gift cards. The school also received a £50 gift card for taking part in the competition.
Roz Wells, Associate Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey Southern Counties, says: “We are delighted to have unveiled the plaques on the ‘Pendragon’ and ‘Waterloo Terrace’ rows of houses at The Sidings.
“It’s fantastic they’ve been named by local school children as our development site is just up the road from the primary school, so the pupils will be able to see the plaques on display.
“I’d like to thank all the children and staff at Norwood Primary School for their help with this project!”
There’s a superb selection of new three and four-bedroom homes remaining for sale at The Sidings, priced from £315,000 and £320,000 respectively.
To stand a chance of securing a brand new home at The Sidings, property-seekers can visit the Sales Information Centre, located off Mill Street, Eastleigh, Hampshire, SO50 4HJ, and open Thursday to Monday between 10am and 5pm (Fridays 1pm to 5pm).
