WEB Taylor Wimpey - Woodford Meadows - Welcome Card Competition

We have been fostering community spirit at our Woodford Meadows development in Northamptonshire by encouraging youngsters at the nearby Woodford Halse CofE Primary Academy to design a welcoming message for new residents.

Our South Midlands team invited local schoolchildren to create a ‘Welcome to your New Home’ card, with the winning entrant having their design printed on cards to be given to the new residents at Woodford Meadows as they move in.

As well as seeing her artwork brought to life, winner Honey Waldock received a £50 book token plus a £350 donation for her school from us, while five runners-up – Stirling Hickman-Wright, Lillie Stowe, Xanthe Hickman-Wright, Keira Punch, Zuzanna Machalska – won £20 book tokens from us.

Gareth Jacob, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey South Midlands, says: “We always do everything we can to make our customers feel happy and comfortable in their new Taylor Wimpey homes, and we feel that giving new residents a ‘Welcome to your New Home’ card as they move in will add to the already wonderful community spirit which is emerging at Woodford Meadows.

“This is why we encouraged local children to get creative and design a card which will really make people feel at home in their new property – even when they’re surrounded by packing boxes! We were really impressed with the ideas and designs in the entries – there are some really creative youngsters in Northamptonshire!”

Mike Wills, Headteacher at Woodford Halse CofE Primary Academy, adds: “We’d like to thank Taylor Wimpey for organising this competition, which really inspired the children to create some fantastic artwork. It was also great to receive Taylor Wimpey’s generous donation to the school.”

There’s currently a stunning selection of four-bedroom homes at Woodford Meadows.
