A donation from us funded a laughter-filled afternoon at the pantomime for pupils at a primary school in Stratford.
Our East London team, which is currently building high-quality homes at Chobham Manor at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, paid for pupils and staff from Park Primary School to attend a performance of Robin Hood at the Theatre Royal Stratford East on Monday 18th January.
Seventy-five Year 2 children and 14 teachers were given tickets to the fun-filled production, while performance programmes were also provided by our team for the children to take home – and what’s more, the pupils also had their photograph taken with the cast!
This is the second year that we have funded the panto treat for children at the school.
Helen Critchley, Deputy Head Teacher at Park Primary School, says: “We’re really grateful to Taylor Wimpey for making this trip possible again this year.
“As well as being an exciting and enjoyable treat for the pupils, it also gave them a valuable experience which really inspires creativity and enriches their learning.”
Michael O’Leary, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey East London, says: “As a local housebuilder, we are committed to supporting the local communities in which we build our new homes.
“We were delighted to treat the children and staff at Park Primary School to some pantomime fun and are so glad they had such a magical afternoon at the theatre!”
Phase 1 at Chobham Manor has now sold out, but property-seekers can register their interest in Phase 2 online at www.chobhammanor.co.uk.
