We gave the Rainworth Community Family Fun Day and Music Festival in Nottinghamshire a massive boost by sponsoring the event.

Our East Midlands team donated £1,000 which was used to purchase raffle prizes and cover some of the costs of hosting the event.

Ian Randall, one of the organisers, says: “We are incredibly grateful to Taylor Wimpey for their generous donation, which really gave a boost to our huge charity raffle and the event as a whole.

“The money they’ve helped us to raise will be distributed between the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance and local children’s charities.”

Rainworth Community Fun Day and Music Festival was held at Rainworth Miners Welfare Football Ground and involved a host of fun attractions for all ages, including a charity football match, penalty shootout, bouncy castles, fun fair rides, tug of war competition, face painting, children’s games craft and food stalls, fire engine, and a Victoria sponge cake competition, plus local bands and musicians performing a variety of music.

Outline planning permission has been granted for a residential development on land off Warsop Lane, Rainworth, and we’ve submitted our final detailed planning application to build 160 new homes, along with public open space and a play area, on the land.

Our proposals also include a proportion of affordable properties for local people and key workers to enjoy a brand new home in their local community.

Lucie Grundy, Sales Manager for Taylor Wimpey East Midlands, says: “As a considerate local housebuilder, we are committed to supporting the communities in which we build our new homes.

“We were delighted to support Rainworth Community Family Fun Day and Music Festival, a fantastic local event which really brings the whole community together and raises money for some great local causes at the same.

“We look forward to continuing to develop links with local people and organisations in Rainworth as our new development takes shape.”
