Our South Thames team has made a £250 donation to the Rotary Club of Guildford’s Benevolent Fund.
The Fund is used to support a range of deserving causes in the town, from the Air Ambulance to a distress fund for local families.
Chris Blow, this year’s President of the Rotary Club of Guildford, says: “It’s very thoughtful of Taylor Wimpey to do this, especially as the donation came out of the blue – they approached us with the money.
“People assume that Guildford is a rich town, but, like all towns I suppose, there are problems and cases of distress here, and people who are in need of our help.
“We’d like to thank Taylor Wimpey for supporting our work with this kind contribution.”
We offered our support to the Rotary Club Benevolent Fund in association with our Station View development, which is currently under construction in Guildford.
Sarah Pasco, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey South Thames, says: “As a company we’re dedicated to supporting the communities where we build our new homes, and we’re therefore delighted to make this donation to the Rotary Club of Guildford.
“We are only too pleased to support a local organisation that for more than 90 years has dedicated itself to raising money for good causes.”
The Rotary Club of Guildford raises around £25,000 a year for a variety of good causes in the town and beyond.
This year the main beneficiary was The Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre in Guildford, which received a £25,000 donation from the Rotary Club in December 2015.
The Club also runs its Benevolent Fund for more urgent donations to good causes, locally, nationally and internationally.
There’s a superb selection of one and two-bedroom apartments currently available at Station View.
